KBX Goalies

Because your goalie deserves the best!

KBX Goalies is all about providing customized skill and
age appropriate training to our young goaltenders.

Our goal is simple.

Deliver the best training and development programs
in a friendly, safe, and fun environment.

Goaltending is one of the toughest positions in hockey.  A successful goaltender must be mentally tough, athletic, focused and exhibit leadership skills both on and off the ice.  At KBX goalies, we believe in developing goalies with these skills in mind and we offer multiple programs to help build these skills.

Semi-Private Dryland and Synthetic Ice Programs:

The KBX training facility provides an ideal environment to focus on strength, balance, agility, technique and muscle memory.  The training gym is a great tool because ice time is very expensive and often the time required to focus on technique and the finer details of the position cannot be spent on the ice.  Semi-private and private training at the complex includes strength, balance and agility training off the ice and movement, technique and muscle memory development on the synthetic ice.   Our semi-private program has a very low instructor to student ratio (usually 1:2 or 1:3) that allows for focused development.

Synthetic ice is not the same as real ice it requires more power and more precision to conduct basic goaltending maneuvers.  Our goalies find the synthetic ice a challenge, it exploits weakness and bad habitats and makes for an intense workout.  We often compare our synthetic ice workouts to going for a jog with a 30-pound backpack. It is a bit awkward, every step requires more power and energy but when you remove the pack you can run stronger and faster than you ever could before.

On-Ice Goalie Camps and Training Sessions:

We offer a variety of on-ice camps or half and full-day programs for various ages.  All on-ice sessions will have dedicated goalie instructors, goalie will get on average 30-40 minutes of dedicated instruction usually followed by 20 minutes of shooting and other fun games.  Our on-ice sessions provide an opportunity to work on realistic game situations, positioning, and reinforce the techniques and skills developed in the gym.
